Voltz Parkour Challenge is Latin America's largest parkour competition and event. It brings together national and international athletes annually to celebrate the art of movement.
A special request
My phone rang: The Voltz Parkour team wanted a custom animation to amplify their event's visual appeal. They wanted something to inspire the athletes and add a professional touch to the live broadcasts.
Here we go!

The first design Challenge
Voltz is more focused on doing jumps from one building to another than on design. While they already had some good branding in place, they didn’t have many design elements that could be applied to this project. With that in mind, I decided to run a few initial experiments using only their typography.
So Far, So Good — But I Needed More
Since Voltz created a complex parkour spot for the competition, I drew inspiration from its structures lines, edges, and textures to enrich my compositions.
Chasing big jumps
To create a stronger emotional connection with the audience, I decided to experiment with compositions adding some parkour movements. Here are a few tests:

Everything seemed to align with their expectations. However, they preferred not to use images of the participating athletes to avoid highlighting specific competitors.
This was the moment when I had to turn to stock footage.
